01.2

How do we collect information on our Users?

We collect information while you access, browse, view or otherwise use the Site. In other words, when you access the Site we are aware of your usage of the Site, and may gather, collect and record the information relating to such usage. For example, when you connect to the Site, your computer tells us your IP address.

01.3

Cookies and local storage

hear native is designed to minimize tracking. We do not set advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies on our own domain.

The only persistent data we store on your device is through your browser's local storage (not cookies), which remembers your interface preferences such as playback speed, caption size, and highlight color. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.

When you play a video on the Site, the video is loaded via YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may set cookies on your device only after you actively start playback, according to Google's own policies. These cookies are not controlled by hear native. For details, see the Cookie Policy.

You can clear local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings. Declining cookies from the YouTube player may result in loss of video playback functionality.

01.4

Information used

  • Enhance the User's experience on the Site (e.g. determining the screen resolutions).
  • Personalize your experience on the Site (e.g. playback speed, font size & color settings).
01.5
